We’re Quinence, the studio behind PaddockPath. Originally from Singapore, expanded recently to Australia.

Most cattle software was either written and managed by one team for its own use, or built for office computers a long time ago. Often both.

We worked closely with several cattle teams to understand what frustrated them about the systems they use, and what they wanted instead. We visited feedlots across Australia and worked cattle ourselves to understand the day-to-day work. Then we built PaddockPath around that work with a close feedback loop with feedlot teams.

We also brought along our learning. We’ve dealt with databases of hundreds of millions of rows before, and now we record every single kg of feed ingredient, medication, and other history for every single animal. Our work on millisecond-precision real-time systems is behind the app that keeps working at the crush with or without signal and no manual sync. Our stint with fintech taught us how to keep data secure and isolated.
