PaddockPath Feedlot

Arrival to invoice, recorded where the work is done.

Each animal is recorded where it is handled, from the receival pens to the bunk. The office sees every record as it lands, and the owner’s invoice is built from them.

The drawn feedlot from Home, through one lot’s stay from arrival to invoice. A B-double backs up to the ramp at the receival, its cattle walk down into the pen and their NVD is read. At the crush a steer is weighed and dosed. The feed truck leaves the mill and feeds Pen 14. On the day they go, the truck backs up again, the cattle walk up the ramp and it drives away. When the half-month closes the office builds the owner’s invoice from those records. Each record rises to PaddockPath and lands in the office. 0467503481494486489

Across the day

The office reads the whole feedlot from the dashboard. It records today live and can take you back to any day in the last 90 days.

  1. 1 Reports & today The day strip: five days of arrivals, moves, feed, treatments and deaths, and under it whether last night’s runs finished.
  2. 2 Animals Cattle on property: the head on the feedlot and its fortnight, by stock class and by owner, and the way to every animal.
  3. 3 NFAS & audit Attention, worst first: a head under withholding booked to leave before it clears, a feed running short, and the checks that came back clear.
  4. 4 Platform Live: today’s card fills in as the crush, the trucks and the pens record, and catches up when a phone had no signal.

For

One set of records, read from where you stand.

For feedlot managers

The day as it happens, without chasing it.

Feedlot managers
  • Your home page opens on what needs acting on today. Each line is found by checking one record against another.
  • See where the feed run is, in pens fed. And when the last load will land at the day’s pace.
  • Before a load-out, the cattle that can’t go are named. Head still under withholding, or treated head on an HGP-free order.

For general managers

Costed and checked before you’re up.

General managers
  • Every head on feed is costed overnight. At that day’s prices, through every pen and ration it was on.
  • Reprice a draft invoice before it goes. By ingredient, lot or line.
  • About 65 checks run every night. Each problem comes back in dollars, head, loads or days, money first.

For livestock managers

Every beast you handle is on the record, from the rail to the hospital pen.

Livestock managers
  • The iPad reads the scale you already have. Over Bluetooth, or off the reader’s own display, so a weight lands on the right animal.
  • A dose does four jobs at once. It names who gave it, comes off the batch, opens the withholding and charges the owner.
  • Deaths are grouped by the intake they came in. And the screen says where that intake is now.

For auditors

Pick any dose and follow it.

Auditors
  • The NFAS checklist is the auditor’s own form. All 132 items in the auditor’s numbering, the ones the records answer filled in.
  • A load with a head in withholding is refused. The refusal names the animal, and the load leaves only if someone records why.
  • Eleven NFAS checks run every night. What they find goes on the findings register, with the item it breaches.

For vendors

Send cattle in, and see what happens to them.

Vendors
  • Your invoice opens down to one animal. What it was fed, what it weighed, what it was given and what it cost.
  • In a shared pen, you pay for your own animals. Each owner is billed only for their own head’s days.
  • If an animal dies, you hear from the record. A mortality report comes by email with the PDF and a link, signed by the manager.

Pricing

1.5c/head/day. Simple as that.

You pay for the cattle on feed, counted once a day. Empty pens cost nothing.
