FAQ
Questions about connecting.
Do we need new hardware?
Usually not. PaddockPath reads the scales and readers you already have. A head with only a serial port needs a small Bluetooth adaptor on that port, and we tell you which one.
Does connecting cost extra?
No. Connecting your devices, weather station and Xero is part of the price, and so is building the link for a device we haven’t met. The devices themselves are yours.
What happens without signal?
The app keeps reading. Weights and tags are saved on the phone and sync when signal returns, and paperwork photographed at the ramp is read on the phone, then again once it uploads.
Can Claude or ChatGPT change our records?
No. The connector only reads, as the person who signed in.
