Quinence Australia Pty Ltd ("we", "us", or "our") operates the PaddockPath platform, including the PaddockPath Feedlot Yard and PaddockPath Producer Yard applications (iOS and web), and the paddockpath.com website (collectively, the "Service").

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

  • Email address — used to create your account and send one-time login codes (OTP).

Operational Data

Data you enter while using the Service in the course of your livestock operations, including but not limited to:

  • Animal records (electronic identification numbers, visual identification numbers, weights, health interventions)
  • Session records (feed mixing, delivery, bunk calls, inductions, pen management)
  • Pen, feedlot, and equipment configurations
  • Medication inventory and administration records
  • Transfer and movement records

Photos

  • Bunk call photos — images you capture of feed bunks during bunk call sessions. These are uploaded to your company's dedicated storage.

Device and Camera Data

  • The mobile apps use your device camera to scan compatible livestock weighing device displays via on-device optical character recognition (OCR). Camera frames are processed entirely on your device and are never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect your location or GPS data.
  • We do not use advertising identifiers or tracking pixels.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
  • We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services that transmit your data to third parties.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To authenticate you and provide access to the Service.
  • To store and synchronise your operational data across your devices.
  • To facilitate data sharing between business partners when you initiate transfers (e.g., livestock movements between companies).
  • To provide offline-capable access to your data.
  • To analyse usage patterns and operational data in aggregate to improve, develop, and enhance the Service and its features.

4. Data Storage and Isolation

Each company using PaddockPath receives a dedicated, isolated database. Your data is never commingled with data from other companies. Data is stored on servers managed by our infrastructure providers (see Section 5).

On mobile devices, data is cached locally in an encrypted SQLite database to enable offline operation. This data synchronises automatically when your device reconnects to the internet.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

  • Supabase — database hosting, user authentication, and file storage. Supabase processes your account information and operational data on our behalf. Supabase Privacy Policy.
  • PowerSync — real-time data synchronisation between your devices and the server. PowerSync Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel — hosting for the web applications. Vercel Privacy Policy.
  • Cloudflare — hosting for API services. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
  • Google ML Kit — on-device text recognition for scanning compatible livestock devices. All processing occurs on your device. No image or text data is sent to Google.

6. Data Sharing

We only share your data in the following circumstances:

  • Between business partners — when you explicitly initiate a livestock transfer or data exchange with another PaddockPath user or company.
  • Service providers — with the third-party services listed in Section 5, solely to operate the platform.
  • Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Operational data associated with your company account may be retained as required by your company's administrator or by applicable livestock traceability regulations.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data held by us.
  • Correct inaccurate personal data.
  • Delete your account and associated personal data.
  • Export your data in a standard format.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is designed for professional use in the livestock industry and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date above.
