For general managers

Every morning, the whole feedlot is already costed and checked.

Overnight, every head on feed is costed at that day’s prices and about 65 checks run over the feedlot’s records. You start the day knowing what needs you, from the commodity bays to the books.

6:00 am Last night’s checks

Every morning, a list of what isn’t right yet, in dollars.

About 65 checks run over the books each night. Money comes first: cattle still on the books that show signs of having left, cattle in no billing group, and charges in an invoiced period that are on no invoice.

8:30 am Yesterday’s feed cost

Know what yesterday’s feed cost a head, and why it moved.

Every head is costed each night at that day’s ingredient prices. The home page puts yesterday beside the fortnight and says whether price or intake moved it, and each ration shows what a tonne costs today.

11:00 am Ridgeway’s draft invoice

See the margin on every invoice while it’s still a draft.

Read it by cost type, lot, days on feed or ration, with every price change and what it earns. Set a price and the draft re-prices itself; once the invoice is issued, it doesn’t change.

2:15 pm Ridgeway opens its invoice

Your owners open their invoice down to one head’s day.

Each owner gets a link behind an emailed code, with their cattle’s performance and none of your costs or margins. You can see when they opened it.

Working together

What you text each other for is already a screen in PaddockPath.

Each thing is recorded where it happens, so whoever needs it opens it instead of asking for it.

Claude and ChatGPT

Ask your feedlot a question in plain words.

Connect your own AI to your feedlot and ask what you’d ask the office. It answers from your records, charted, and it can only read them, never change them.

Claude, asked to rank the pens by daily gain, answering with a chart of every pen from the feedlot’s records

FAQ

Questions general managers ask.

What does it cost?

1.5c a head a day, ex GST, for every animal on feed, counted once a day and billed monthly in arrears. Month to month, no minimum, with setup, training and device connections included.

Pricing
We’re on another system. What happens to our records and our contract?

We bring your records across as part of setup. If you’re partway through a yearly contract elsewhere, we offset what’s left of it.

Pricing
Who can see our numbers?

Each feedlot has its own database, hosted in Sydney. Money screens can be set to admins only, and owners see billed figures, never your costs or margins.

Security
Does it work with Xero?

Yes. Every invoice goes to Xero as it’s issued, and the payments you match in Xero come back onto the invoice.

Billing & custom feeding
Can our owners see how their cattle are going?

Yes. Each owner opens their invoice behind an emailed code, with their cattle’s performance down to one animal, and you can see when they opened it.
